    if you use regular, you'll burn more fuel cause the engine adjusts for the lower octane. I didn't believe it, 2x I tried regular and burned more fuel & lost the savings. Was about 2-2.5 mpg lower on each tankful. After putting premium 93 octane mpg jumped up 10% like clockwork... amazing'02 325ci 5-speed
