I've searched the threads and can't find references to the new 5 having the Idrive blank screen issue. On my mothers 535 on start up sometimes the screen/audio is dead. Once she stops the car and restarts it minutes later, everything works. It's starting it's 3rd week at the dealership. The dealership keeps focusing on software. It sounds like a hardware issue to me.

Any one else have this problem?
