loss of power after getting stuck

after a sudden ice storm tried to move the car to a better location. After about six or seven runs to 6500rpms the car was finally unstuck ! I shut the car down to let the clutch cool for about 20 mins. when i restarted the car the idle was really rough and under open throttle i heard maybe 1 or 2 small intake back fires. replaced the dist cap and rotor, no improvement. previously have had NO problems with the car. 1981 633 from california that now lives in indianapolis in. Is this something i can repair ? if not is there a good m30 shop in the indy area. It was sunny and sixty today, my sick shark needs help!!

    Geeeez! 6500rpms...

Was there any resistance while this was happening; were you in snow/ice? That's a lot of revs for a prolonged period.
You might want to check for fouled plugs (due to oil/gas overflow-pressure)and hope nothing more serious.
