Resetting ABS
I have a 2002 530i. I recently replaced my ABS computer to fix an issue with both my Speedometer dropping out and my ABS/traction control not working. My speedometer works now but my ABS and traction control still do not work and their warning lights remain on. Do I need to reset the computer some how to fix the issue or is something else wrong?
thx
Dan

You need to have a BMW shop program...
the unit or the car. The dealer or an indy BMW shop can do this for you. My local indy did this for about $80 and took less than an hour on my 2000 528i.
My guess is that the ABS settings depend on the weight of the car and other variables. There are probably differences between the V8 and I6 due to weight, weigh distribution, etc.
