iPhone and Bluetooth "Hands-Free" on E39 ?

I was thinking of trying to use my iPhone blue tooth capability
with my '97 528i.

Does anyone have any experience getting, or modifying, their iPhone 3G /4G
to work through the BMW built-in "hands-free" phone system?

What adapters or upgrades would have to be made to use
the iphone "hands-free" through the BMW's internal phone
system?

I think the BMW bluetooth module won't work with your car. But Dice makes a device called Mediabridge which includes a bluetooth option and might meet your needs.
