    Kid I went to school with had the similar parental

    After his mom adjusted their radio to a religious station; she actually cut off the tuner cable. If a kid stopped in front of their house playing a transistor radio; she would chase them off.

    And that particular album used to scare the bejeezus out of me when I was a kid with the "i think...i think i am...therefore i am...i think" parts. Dunno why really LOL. Great stuff.

    On cassette tape, of course. I had plenty of copied tapes before that from friends of other 80s stuff, but that was the first one I bought for myself.

    Other ones around that time were Midnight to Midnight -- Psychedelic Furs, That's the Stuff -- Autograph (so embarrassed...); This is the Day...This is the Hour...this is This -- Pop Will Eat Itself...

    man I miss the 80s and all the weird/different music coming out them. Everything now is either clone zone crap like Coldplay or hip hop or whiny over-pretentious pop crap.
