National Margarita Day today..
I always thought it was May 5th ;)
Sure feels like a tequila type day :(
How do you make your favorite margarita?
My go to recipe is lime juice, agave syrup, cointreau and corralejo blanco.
I've been working on a sour cherry margarita with cherry bitters and dried cherries soaked in cognac. It's still in the experimentation phase.

Since it's a mixed drink...
you don't have to spring for tequila mucho expensivo. Seven parts good quality (100% agave) tequila blanco, four parts triple sec and three parts fresh squeezed lime juice. Shake it all up in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and then pour it into a salted rim - or not - glass with more ice, i.e. on the rocks.
This is the original recipe. YMMV but, God forbid, do not adulterate this noble concoction into a Tequila Slushie!
