Seen many launches from there, but only smaller satellites. Never a shuttle.

i thought edward meant that this was the last space shuttle flight ever not for Discovery. I was supposed to be down there but I plan on going down in April. Couldn't work out to go down this week. I spent a week down there in November waiting for Discovery to launch until they scrubbed the launch.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hopefully the launch won't be delayed, so you won't waste a trip. I drove up from Miami for a launch a couple years ago, but it was delayed - we just hung around the little NASA theme park. The next time we went up, it was on time.

I've wanted to go to one again but you have to plan on hanging around for a week since they delay launch at the drop of a hat.
