Found a fairly rare 6x2 intake for it, that got me
My friend with a 30 Model A wanted some photos with the two cars... so here are a bunch I took. Haven't seen his photos..
It is an Edelbrock X-1 that came with 6 Holley 94s, I wasn't happy with how they were working, so I am now in the middle of switching over to 6 Stromberg 97s. I also don't like the little chrome air cleaners it came with, so I am working on making some staggered stacks for it.
That and I have been distracted with a new toy for my racer boy... I am thinking I need one too.

question for you
First, the car looks awesome: well done.
Question: are you planning on (or do you already) driving this car on the street? "Back in the day" California had a law which said something like "no permanently-attached piece of the vehicle may project below the lowest point of the vehicles wheel rim."
I used to get equipment violations all the time for my "traction assist devices" (ladder bars, etc.). How do you get away with that thing, which appears to basically have the entire car sitting below the low point of the wheel rim?<br />

Oh, I drive it all the time. So far the furthest
We took at over to pinks when they ran at Infinion, it was about an hour drive each way, at least it seemed like an hour...
Got free parking right at the grass at turn... well the hairpin.
Not sure about legal, I have been stopped by two police to be told how cool and radical it was. And a city police gave me a DARE award at one car show, I asked him about legal, his comment, I don't see anything illegal about it...
Yeah, we pretty much through the concept of scrub line out the window with the car. We did have to add a beefy custom skid plate under the car after I caught the pan on one of those bumps at a gas station. Bent the pan a bit and almost pulled the plug out.
But it is a kick to drive. Don't turn for [Oops!], but it's very loud, quick and like driving a lousy handling go kart.

We will find out, it's a 2010 Ital Rapido V, was
He got to drive a 2009 Ital last weekend, I can see he likes to pitch it like he is driving his dirt kart, so he has pretty good control, bad habit for speed, but we will work on that.
He seems to be as interested in running the asphalt as the dirt. I am thinking I might need to get me one also. The 2009 is avail as a roller for $2,300.
There is also a 2005 Invader with motor for $2,200 or am 05 Parolin with two KT100 motors for $2,200.
I am leaning toward the Ital, be nice to have two of the same chassis I am thinking.

Speaking of pans... I had a moroso gold-anodized (!) hi capacity pan on my 440 for awhile. It hung down under the cross member by a good two inches. After the install I thought it looked so cool I decided to take it for a spin before adding the skid plate (what could go wrong, right?).
Got about a mile away, went thru what seemed like a very small dip, and heard this new "TING" sound coming out the other side of the dip.
Looked in my mirror and could see a nice thin trail of shiny black liquid following me. Pulled over and watched all ten quarts run out into the gutter. Put a small hole in the front corner of the pan: had to take it back off to weld it up. Spoiled the nice gold anodizing...
