So clearly, a BMW was not in the cards for her. And I don't blame her: the E60 never did grow on me, and that design is eight years old now. It's just a butt-ugly car. And from a design standpoint, it will go down in BMW folklore as the standout, one-off "design experiment," aka, Bangle's Folly. Sorry, but you drive a heinous car.

OTOH, this CTS looks wicked on the road. There are some things I would change about it (1/2" lower, for example), but as far as fit/finish, it stands right next to the F10. And I hate to say it (not really), but it really does make E60 look cheap.

I do miss the low-end torque of a BMW V8, but it's not my car anyway.
