    2004 BMW Z4 brakes......

my 2004 z4 has 55000 miles, and needed brakes. i got on line with a suggestion from a friend to go to BRAKE PERFORMANCE. com. I purchased the best cross drilled and slotted rotors and their best racing pads. after about 300 miles the pads crumbled like a cookie. i replaced the pads, from advance auto as a quick fix... after about another 300 miles the front rotors warped. called BRAKE PERFORMANCE and they replaced front rotors. about 3 weeks ago after paying to have the brakes installed and reinstalled 3 times, i finally ... please be aware of this company... LET THE BUYER BEWARE ! ! !at my expense i returned everthing. they gave me a credit , but i paid $70.00 to return and about $325.00 for installation

Don't go with cross-drilled rotors next time... no benefit at all, unless your track the car, and even then benefits are doubtful.

Few of the cross-drilled rotors you find for sale are manufactured properly.

For what it's worth, I got Axxis Delux pads and Balo rotors. I've had em for about 8,000 miles now and they're running fine. The Balo rotors do rust at the hat more than the OEM BMW ones, but I don't really mind since they were half the price.
