    And in Eugene....the people were in arms for......

    the city council trying to levy a 2 cents/gallon gas tax to fix the roads. I guess people would rather spend $500 to replace a wheel and tire from a pot hole...the equivalent of 25,000 gallons of gas. I still sit in disbelief and have had 2 letters to the Editor published, trying to explain to stupid people how worth it would be to have a 2 cents/gallon gas tax.

    In the meantime, gas is up 25 cents/gallon in 3 weeks. All these stupid people and they just cut public education funds another 10% which will lead to even more stupid people.

    Jeezus, that's a freekin crater, not a pothole.

    I had to replace a wheel recently because of one myself, so I feel your pain.

    nearly same thing 'cept I bent 2 wheels and

    ruined 1 tire. Wicked hit in the MINI going 80mph on I95 through a 4" deep rut. Going in NP...coming out...BAM!!!

    ppl will accept paying $.25/gal more if they aren't given a choice even though it'll go into someone else's pocket. but give them a choice and they'll refuse to pay $.02 even if it comes back to them as a benefit.

    makes a compelling case for dictatorship, doesn't it? i think you as world leader should step up and tell those eugenians how it will be.
