Z3 Design Inspiration (maybe NSFW)

OK, well, we are told sex sells, and it is certainly true that certain body parts attract certain attentions.

I never realized that car designers use the human body as inspiration. I noticed this design inspiration a while ago, and I had to look at a lot of pictures to find the right view, to emphasize the connection. After long last, and many pop-ups from LiveJ*asmin, but here you go. The design inspiration for the Z3 hood.

This is interesting to me. I remember when the Z3 first came out. The Mercedes SLK came out the same year and I remember car reviews saying it had more feminine lines than the Z3. I always thought the BMW was the guy car and Merc was the girl, but maybe they're both girls and the Z3 is just the bad girl.
