A couple of car-related questions
So the throwout bearing has gotta get changed in my car. clutch is going kinda soft in feel, rattling is worse and some shudder on engagement. I figure I'll just go ahead and do pressure plate, clutch disc along with the bearing. What do you figure the odds are that I've hurt the flywheel?
Also, I'm smelling burning oil (through air vents, not exhaust) when the car is running and I'm on a relatively steep incline. Any guesses on where the oil leak is?
Should I go to the main board for this? If I do, how far should I drag out the "year, miles, condition, color, tire brand" interrogation...just for grins?

Thoughts
Doubt you've hurt the flywheel. I have replaced clutches but have never re-surfaced the flywheel. Might be "cheap" insurance to have that done though but I doubt you have done any damage to it.
Oil smell - check your valve cover gasket - specifically in the rear passenger portion. The other thought would be the gasket to the oil filter housing (those are the two most common from what I have read).

Shudder on engagement is high spots on either
PP or FW...or both. Can the flywheel be turned? If so then count on doing it. You could always play it safe and just get a new one. Oil leak is likely the valve cover gasket. Assess what it's going to take to repair that and figure on replacing any hose you have to take loose. How many miles? Are you close to spark plug change time? Time to rebuild the cooling system? CAI while it's apart?
