Paint code
I have searched this site re- the paint code and see that it is usually on the strut tower. I cannot locate it there. I do though have a black label that includes the chassis number near the front right headlight that may be what I am looking for. The label is upside down (to enable easy reading no doubt) and has an unexplained number '309/7' on it. Can anyone confirm that this is the paint code and if so then what is the colour? It is silver but I am not sure which one.
My vehicle is a UK delivered 95 840.

Artiksilber (Artic Silver) It was available from
1994 to 1999, and they painted 1,197 cars this color.

Thanks TxGr8White. This is very helpful. Glad I found the right code. Seems that the code plates were stuck all over the place as this appears, from the blogs, to be the third place I have seen where the plates were installed.
