    Exhausting work.................

I just picked up the new M Performance Exhaust, 20 lbs lighter than stock. Made out of Inconel, which is a magnesium chromium alloy that dissipates heat very well. Usually used in the making of headers (and Nooners?...he he). The 4 tips are made of titanium. The install is sometime soon,

    Beautiful Overkill!! Very nice

I believe there was a post in the M-forum a while back that actually had a video of an M3 with that exhaust.

    Only 4 channels... I'd prefer 7.1.

I just noticed that I got screwed.............

The tips are supposed to have the "///M" laser engraved on the top and mine doesn't have it. I just called the dealer and they are checking into it. I will be trading in the exhaust for the new and improved one. May be a while before it gets installed.

I'm trying to make it sound better................

like your Five point oh. I love the sound of the new Mustang when I test drove one...better than the M3.

Re: I'm trying to make it sound better................

Oh, I get it... the 'overkill' I was referring to was the exotic metals used. I think it will sound AMAZING and should probably last forever, but I think they justify the high expense with the fancy metals. But hey, on what other car would you put such an exquisite performance exhaust on? Take some audio after it goes on of you backing out of the garage to wax it ;)

But then I'd be exposing the car to possible sun..

It gets waxed in the garage...he he. I need to invent sun block for cars. I'd also be wearing out the tires backing out the car 15 feet and then 15 feet back into the garage. With the miles I drive, I'd be lucky to get 15 years out of a set of tires.

The exotic metals are a bit much...even comes.....

with a riveted numbered plaque on the muffler. I have number 54 exhaust. Now people will be saying: "Car 54, Where are You?" (need to be old to remember that TV show).
