For one, you can set a mode on the new forum that shows threading kindof like this one (but not quite the same obviously).

For two, I'm gonna work on a plugin for the new system that gives you a view just like this one ('cause I've been liking this one ever since it was an old "Matt's Scripts" perl script running back in '97).

Threaded view is a must for this kind of board. It's much easier to follow the sub-topics of a post (how most posts tend to go off on different tangents). When you have all those different conversations listed chronological, liked the default vBulletin layout, it makes it difficult to follow a thread.
