Not able to Drive M3 to Tracks in Michigan

Not able to Drive M3 to Tracks in Michigan due to Bad Roads.

I recently had to move to Michigan for my job from Update New York (near Watkins Glen) via Ludwigsburg, Germany. I have a track prepared E36 M3 that I have driven to the track for many years. Since moving here I have found the roads so horrendous that I cannot drive my M3 here without complete fear of destroying my car. My other 2 cars already have suspension damage after just 5 months of driving here. Therefore I know I cannot drive my M3 here. It is so sad how bad this state builds and maintains its roads. My M3 will be staying in my garage the entire time I live here. It only has 100 miles on it since August 2009 since I lived in Germany.

You pay for tow vehicle & trailer

It seems everyone's solution now days is to throw money at the problem. Well not everyone is rich and has excess money sitting around.

Well, it *is* a money problem, dummy.

As Rowley suggests, you could find a solution to your problem. Instead, you're just whining about the road conditions preventing you from driving your purely-recreational, non-essential vehicle that you apparently cannot afford to trailer and tow. Would it have been better for Rowley to suggest you repave your route to the track?

Yeah, tell your fellow Michigan residents your woes. I'm sure they'll completely agree and sign petitions to increase taxes so you can drive to the track.

Why would you want to live in Michigan anyway?

if you want to drive to a track....

buy some inexpensive wheels and higher profile tires to drive to and from, then change to the track set up when you arrive. It's not too expensive and I know a number of people who do that.

Werd. You'll want to move up to R comps eventually

Otherwise it sounds like you should trade in your car for a Toyota appliance.
