Electrical short after Window Regulator repair
Anyone have an idea where I might be getting a short/ground problem inside the door shell?
I just did a regulator repair and an hour later my battery was dead. I got it jumped and drove it home and played with the windows since that's what I was working on. Upon pressing the window buttons the car would stall out. So, it's gotta be from my window repair, but I can't for the life of me think where there might be a chance to screw up the wiring. All the connections are locking plugs and half of the things I left connected.
Anyone have a suggestion where I should look?============================================= ============

You probably did not screw anything up, but
just disturbed some wiring that was marginal. Extremely prone to damage is the wiring where is goes thru the door to body flex tube. Open and close your door over years will wear things.
Technically if you had a short you'd be blowing fuses, so I'm not sure what you're dealing with.
I think you'll have to do some old fashioned detective work by tracing and inspection the wiring along wherever you can access it. Pay attention to where it flexes obviously. Perhsps even run the car while you flex some wiring to see if you can affect the running.
Take mental notes at least as you explore and report back here with more evidence.

running the car while doing it isn't an option
Battery is dead dead dead. Not even the interior lights or the dials will come on with the key in position 1 or 2.
I'll report back. Looks like the door is coming off in an hour or so to look things over. Can't wait to remove the vapor barrier again! Fun.
