How to make your Author Name display as opposed to your Username
In our old forum software folks often changed their displayed username to something with spaces and a little catchy as well. For example my username is "charlie" but some times I would change it so it read "Head Honcho" in the forums. We have added that same functionality to vBulletin.
Here's how to do it.
1. Make sure you're logged into the vBulletin forum and not just your old Roadfly account. You can login from the top right.
2. Once logged in click the "Settings" link at the top right of the page.
3. On the Settings page in the middle column you'll see a link to "Edit Profile" click it.
4. At the very bottom of the next page you'll see "Author Alias" fill that in with whatever you'd like your display name to be.
That's it you're done!
The good ole days!

When I try that I get the following
..., you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.Reply With Quote 24.184.89.98
