SLS & front rebuild
It's been quite a while since I visited the postings here. I have a US spec 93 M5 with 130k and it looks and runs great. It needed a suspension refresh and I decided to use OEM after much research and browsing through the various message boards. I also looked into Dinan and Koni alternatives.
I rebuilt my entire front suspension last winter/spring. I used OEM struts from BMW. The suspension parts came from BMA (Lemforder upper/lower arms, Meyle swaybar links, & stock M5 bushings).
I'm planning to tackle the rear over ths winter. I have SLS with no leaks but a harsh ride seems like air shocks in rear. Advice I received is when this happens, it will accelerate rear shock wear. Advice to me is to replace the accumulators first, then see how it goes. They are about $160 each, and the jobs should be much easier than the front.
