"Quality" of new 1 series ?

Had a look at the new 1 series and I'm still keeping the E36 M3 Coupe.

The model designated "Sport", one of them had a polystyrene type of grey strip inserted between the gap between the front fenders and the body where the other "Sport" sitting next to it on the showroom floor just had the gap. On all the five models I saw the un-painted inside surfaces of the front fenders can be clearly seen when you open the front doors, all you can see and feel is the primer coat.

The head room even with the seat lowered is very limited between my head and the top of the door opening on the ceiling. Made me think of having to wear a helmet to stop hitting my head when going over speed humps. And the front A-pillar is right in my line of sight, very reminiscent of the E39 5-series design compared to the E36 coupe.

I just enjoyed driving my E36 M3 coupe home; having head room, clear line of sight from the whole of the windscreen and a STRAIGHT SPINE when putting my elbows on the door arm rest and centre console arm rest.

I get new oxygen sensors in the S50 3.0L next week, I look forward to another 135,000 Km of clean power fuel burning.

Any other E36 owners feel the same about the new 1'ers ? How about the 1 M series ???? is it still worth a look?

New O2s are in and the car feels like I'm Sebastian Vettel instead of Mark Webber.
Got one Bosch 0 258 005 327 and one VEMO V20-76-0003 (US$78 cheaper) lets see which one fails first.

Also not bank rolling the middle east as much
