sanp in adapter I am totally confused
I have a 2012 x5 AND a 2011.
The 2012 has BMW apps and I got a media snap in adapter and Pandora and my IPOD work great
My 2011 does NOT HAVE BMW apps....can I still play Pandora if I get a snap in adapter?
If so....WHICH snap in adapter do I want?
I did sign in to Pandora and it was playing on my Iphone 4 but when I use the firewire cable to hook my phone up to the car...I hear nothing exept the
phone playing in the 2011.
Totally confused...please help

2011 X5 - In Car Media apps...
Hi there! I too have a 2011 X5...and was confused about the same thing.
What I know so far, is the 2011 came in two flavors. One assembled before 10/2010 and one assembled AFTER 10/2010.
In the early assembly cars, they did not have a device called The ComBox. This is the media hub that gave way for the in-car apps, for the bluetooth streaming media, and more. In the later cars, and up to current...the ComBox was in there.
I spoke with the folks over at *********, and they do have a kit, and local installers who can install these OEM BMW components into your early car (mine was assembled 3/2010) and program your car with the incar apps (pandora, iHeart radio, and more). It's not cheap, but I'm going to do it for Christmas!
It is all very confusing but that's what I know so far!
