OT, went to Factory Five open house yesterday, they are a kit car manufacture.
One of the guys in the autobody class I take helped his dad build a 427 Cobra kit car a few years ago.
Yesterday was one of their open houses, weather was excellent so I took the 540 for a drive to meet up with them.
They are about 30 miles from where I live.
I've got a mice video of one of the cars leaving but it's 46meg, probably too big to post.
Just a few mods.
If it ain't broken make it better and quicker!

Gotta love those AC Cobras.
I also like that Ford GT in pix 2 & 3. I had a racing car set when I was a kid, and one of the cars that I bought for the set was a Ford GT model. Don't really see many pix or write-ups about those today.Ed CT

If I recall correctly from a show on SPEED a few years ago, the bodies and frames are made in South Africa, (not that that is a bad thing).

There is another company in South Africa that also makes kits. FFR makes frames and bodies on site.
We got the full tour of their facility, welding jigs for all of the different frames to the fiberglass shop.
The frames are all powder coated by a company in RI.Just a few mods.

I would absolutely just LOVE to pull into my yearly road inspection with one of these kit cars. These Belgians wouldn't know what to do (well, I mean, they'd impound the car, throw me in jail and such, but they'd be flabberghasted at that HP level. The look on their faces would be priceless, lol......................)
