dash camera installation

I have installed dash camera in my wife's Nissan Altima, which has forward & in-cab scene recording and GPS tracking functions. Initially I did not understand why she asked me to do it, but it is great to see her to feel relieved while driving.

I just noticed that motordrivecam is holding a Easter sale and one of the models is actually around $200. Maybe its a good time to get a car blackbox.

I am new to this, why install this? For security or investigative purposes? Thanks.

I would say this is to investigative purpose and security as well. It stores data of forward scence, location(GPS) and speed so when we have a car accident, we can present the data as a evidence to defend myself. Also, it can function as surveillace camera if you connect the device to battery of the car. I have bought it from motordrivecam. Thanks,
