    Time, MPH, MPG computer

I ruined this computer a year or so ago by hooking a battery charger up in reverse. The screen reads "PPP" now. Anyone know what part number I need, where it is, etc.? Looked on EBAY and found only engine controls and cruise controls.

I also found that the through hull fitting (don't know what else to call it, I'm a sailor) for the antenna has disintegrated. Anyone else have this problem? I found this one on EBAY:

    Thanks in advance

Depending on which year you have, you'll want either 1 or 3:

    01 UNCODED CLOCK/ON BORD COMPUTER 1 04/1999 62138377996 $193.09
    Important: on-board computer must be
coded within 36 hours of installation

You should be able to find a good used one from any BMW/import salvage yard. I've had good service from Bavarian Autosalvage. Once installed you'll need to have it sync'ed with the rest of the control system.

Thanks for the help. Will keep an eye out for the clock/computer now I have the part number. Bavarian Autosalvage has it for over $100, I'll give ebay a couple months to come up with a less expensive one.

I see what you mean about the antenna grommet, Atlanta BMW website has it for $2.52, I'll get that at the local dealer.

You'll need it to be dealer coded if you fried your coding plug as well. Good places for discount mail ordering: www.bmwpartstore.com and www.bwpartzdirect.com.
