To cut a long story short...
A few months ago I bought a used VW Golf. I subsequently insured this car protecting my 9 years No Claims Discount. However, at the time I had no proof of my 9 years NCD. (Basically I was unable to get proof of my NCD due to my old car still being insured). Therefore, the insurer contacted my requesting me for my 9 years NCD. I was unable to provide them with this, subsequently my policy went up £150.
Now I have managed to sell my old car and I know have proof of my 9 years NCD. My question is.. if I contact my current insurer and give them the proof of my 9 years NCD. is there any chance that I will be able to reduce the cost of my policy? or will I need to cancel this policy and take the hit of the cancellation fees and start again?
