How hard is it to Change the Fuel Filter on 2001 325i

Watched a few videos on you tube and it looked pretty straightforward, any gotcha's I should look out for?

    Thanks,

    Peter

Just did the fuel filter on my 2000 328i. Not a bad job. YouTube video is a help. Disconnect the battery to avoid fuel pump coming on. Lift and jack stand entire driver's side if you can, as you'll have ample work space. There is a protective panel that you'll have to remove, at least partially, to get at the filter. Disconnect the old filter, and be sure to orient the new one in correct flow. Reconnect battery, restart, check for leaks!

    Be ready for fuel spills

Its not hard at all if you're mechanically inclined. The dodgiest part is not spilling fuel all over and starting a fire. Have a container ready to catch a pint or so of gas, and work in a well ventilated area with no nearby sources of ignition.

In addition to the new fuel filter, have replacement hose clamps. The OEM ones are single use, and you will need to bend or snip them beyond re-use when removing the old filter.

Likely, the video you watched covers these points.
