How to replace the hood BMW badge

Has anyone done this? Is it a difficult task? Are new badges readily available?

It is harder than on an e36 because they did not bother to leave holes beneath so you could use a punch from beneath to tap out the retaining pins.

The Roundel has two pins that poke into rubber grommets. The rubber grommets are snapped into two holes in the hood.

You need to work a credit card beneath the Roundel and slowly work it loose. Once you can get a couple of credit cards beneath it, you can put a tool between them and get more aggressive.

OEM and aftermarket Roundel's are sold anywhere that sells BMW parts.

Cool! It took 3 years and 1500 views, but there is finally an answer. Thanks, Manolito.
