I'm looking for an '06 or '07 3-series, and knowing I'll have to travel to find it I'm wanting to look in cities that have better climates for car preservation. Being in the eastern US I'd like to avoid cities anywhere north of say Northern GA due to winter salt use. The cities I'm considering right now are GA: Atalanta, Columbus, Macon, Savannah, Augusta and Gainesville. Birmingham. SC: Charleston and columbia.

There seem to be good markets in Miami, and FL in general but I was wondering if I should avoid places close to the sea or w/ too much sun. Is salt corrosion a problem with vehicles close to the ocean?
