How can one secure non BMW radio unit from sliding out.

My car was struck by lightning last fall and it took out right side of radio and my DME. Replaced DME and replaced my deck with a Ford unit. Slide in perfectly. Issue is that I cant keep it from sliding forward over time when driving. Tried tieng in place with wire, etc but without sucess. Any ideas how to secure it without looking ridiculous. 19554672_662836297257057_534241908209095187_n.jpg

in most cases the radios are secured with a screw and an angled metal hook . On the factory radio sides, around the middle area you will see a small square. Lift from the inside of the radio out and you will find a screw with a five sided cavity (anti-theft feature).
Use a small screwdriver that fits snugly and loosen it.

In case your aftermarket radio does not have that, find a fitting part which you can install on both sides and which expands when tightenung a bolt
