    2001 M Roadster Instrument Cluster

Cluster has created a constant drain of the battery. Have to remove fuse when car is not operating to protect battery.
Looking to replace or repair this instrument cluster. Does it have to be specific to the year, 2001, or can I consider those
for other E36, E37 years. Also, any recommended sources for replace or repair? Thanks. MG

The 2001 and 2002 M clusters are different from the others. Others may work, but I doubt it.

Since you know your parasitic drain is coming from the cluster, probably you could concentrate on the trouble instrument wiring amps. Could be a related switch, bulb... do you know how many amps was drawing from the battery?
