not lighted > ask Ron ;-)

It is normal that it is not lighted.

I think Ron had 'fixed' that.

    More dark switches

The Z3Coupe sunroof switch is not illuminated, also it has a passive switching unlike the side windows which can be closed (or opened) even if you have take out your ignition key already.
Also the A/C and recirculation switches are not illuminated, not convinient in the dark, yes they only lite-up once the function is actived.
Also the "nasty to find" switches for front and rear foglamps are deep in the dark.
On the other hand the "headlamp beam" adjusting switch is illuminated ! (fitted on Europe versions only)
It must be one of the few cars in this price category without glovebox illumination.

    But it does goes !

Re: Z3 coupe sunroof switch - Lighted?

There is a polarity reversal at the connector in the passenger side kick panel area. If you correct the reversal there you will also have to reverse the open and close lines at the switch. Just as easy to reverse it at the switch. You can also just open up the switch and reverse the LED.

    Re: Rear foglamps ?!?!

That switch is right next to the front foglights (rear foglight switch). Don't you have rearfoglights (red) in the US ??

Both buttons are not illuminated in the Europe version.

The air condition switch is also not illuminated, and the button below it (don't know the name for it) also. They are only lighted when pushed.

Is there a way to remove the female connectors from the plastic piece without the $35 tool?
