    Help - Amplifier Wiring diagram

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the amplifier for a 2001 330i with Harmon Kardon? Specifically I need to know which wires are the remote power on, and the positive and negative for the rear speakers.

I am adding a second amp and a sub to the HK system.

    Thanks in advance

Re: Help - Amplifier Wiring diagram

Hello I just added an amp and sub yesterday to my 2002 M3 coupe with HK.
    The wiring is as follows.
    Rear left+ (pin# 37) Yellow/black wire. On black connector
Rear left- (pin# 29) brown orange wire On black connector

Rear right+ (pin#8)blue/black wire. On grey connector
Rear right- (pin#16) brown/orange wire On grey connector
remote turn on (pin#10) white wire On grey connector.

They main connector has 2 halves in the harness . 1/2 black
1/2 grey. When you unplug the main harness you will see them.
You can use a small screwdriver to pry them out so you can attach
small wire taps(wire gauge 18-22). it was pretty easy to do.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks. I didn't have the right speaker wires, but I had the turn on correct and it didn't work. I could get the power to kick on if I wired directly to the battery though. Did you just splice into this wire and everything worked OK?

Yeah you just have to make sure that you have the right wire and the turn on should work fine. If you are using more than on amp though you may not have enough power for the factory plus 2 or more amps.
In that case you would need to use a 'switching" relay to hook the other amps to.
