"Check Low Beam" warning GONE!!!!! (m)

Thanks to Phil (Calypso540 or something like that), I no longer have to deal with the "Check Low Beam" warning messages!!! Phil hooked me up with some Resistor Packs he designed (which are actually designed much better than those being sold, and the setup on bmwtips.com), and fixed-up my taped wiring harnasses...making everything look professional and very well done! This guy is the DaveZ and SVTWEB of electronics - he's got tools galore, and tons of experience with this stuff. He made all my handy work look like garbage...hehe.

By the way, his resistor packs cost just $75. If you guys who upgraded to xenon wanna get some, just let me know...I'm sure he won't mind making more for other fellow board members at that price. IMO, it's just a rip off to pay $150-$200 for the other packs.

Oh yeah, his 540 is SCHWEET! He's got a SS exhaust with the resonator removed. I'm gonna have to get the ESS, or more cylinders, because after riding in his car, my 528 felt like a joke!

    Cheers,

    SS

    Because (m)

I don't know all the specifics, because he's the wiz that was explaining it to me, and I'm not so well informed on the subject. However, I know it is something about the others using a single 4ohm resistance, and his using two parallel 10 ohms...making it 5ohm, and if one of those parallels short, the other will still work (I'm vaguely stating this...do not know all the details but pretty sure I am correct). There is also something(s) else that makes these better, but I'm not so sure.

Let me know if you guys are thinking about getting some - I can ask him to hook y'all up!

    Lotta cash for resistors

I must be missing something here, because resistors are cheap. Very much so, as in pennies each until you get up in the huge resistor domain and still much less than capacitors.

A few more components in there like a relay&fuse,

$110 was for a pair and they are fully pre-wired and weatherproofed.
