Your opinion of E30s
I almost bought a 325is once, and thankfully, some events led me to not buy it, and buy a 6-series. I am very glad I didn't. What do you all think of them? I think they're sort of little [Oops!] cars. They're so cheap and plentiful that kids can "mod" (rice) them out very cheaply. I know of an E30 with 17 inch wheels and it looks like a clown car. The engines just aren't very good either. I heard of a guy who bored a 2.5 M20 to 3.0 liters and he only had like 175 hp! I just had to vent, i'm mad at some people with E30s.

<font size=1>A yuppy opened the door of his BMW, when suddenly a car came along and hit the door, ripping it off completely. When the police arrived at the scene, the yuppy was complaining bitterly about the damage to his precious BMW.
"Officer, look what they've done to my Beeeeemer!!!", he whined.
"You yuppies are so materialistic, you make me sick!!!", retorted the officer, "You're so worried about your stupid BMW, that you didn't even notice that your left arm was ripped off!!!"
"Oh my Gaaad...", replied the yuppy, finally noticing the bloody left shoulder where his arm once was, "where's my Rolex!!!!!"</font>

Word. just wait.
I've been in one of the fastest 5's around. Old Schools (B).
the plans I have for my e30, I was thinkin m50 motor, thats an early e36 straight 6 for the guys that dont know.
but the way we are planning my e30 m20 2.7. put a super on your big 6, and Ill still take you...
its not 'rice'. talk to your friend in here, not flaming him, just got a kick outta it. great photo btw :-)
We are the same blood, loving the same thing. Having bigger cars or motors for that matter, doesnt mean we are not of the same loving family of (car, scratch that) MACHINE owners. Am I correct?
So show the love.

e30's are great
I have a 325is and a 535i, both lightly modified. The e30 moreso than the e28. I use the e30 for autocross and having fun in the summers, and my e28 is a commuter car. The e28 is smoother on the highway and gets better gas milage. The e30 gives me more smiles per mile. Your 6er is beautiful and timeless, but you will never have as much fun as you would in an e30. I will just ignore your ignorant comments re the baby six.

Owned both and love them both
Different styles, 535i for interstate cruising and the E30 for a fun car that I would drive anywhere. I really think you should own an E30 before you go passing some half-assed judgment on them. I think you would be surprised how much you would get attached to it. They are a great car. <br>

Re: your 6 will get smashed by the mighty E30!
I can take a 325is off the line, on the highway, and even in an autocross. Well, at least my friend's. I've driven his around and it just seems so small and slow. I can't speak for any other's though. Maybe E30s aren't [Oops!] cars, but my friend's certainly is!

he is a bad driver. the E30 is a most flingable>
supremely handling BMW, in terms of dynamics one of the best BMW ever built. almost as much fun as my tii was. i knew a mechanic near va. beach who cleans up at VIR every week in his E30. he's got the single vanos engine in it and it rips. and he's good.
