What are symptoms of bad/broken front strut mount?

My car has been giving me a clunking noise from the front lately. This past week when making gradual left turns at speeds over 40mph the front right tire begins to vibrate VERY violently, and can get worse if I apply the brake while making the left turn. Nothing happens when steering to the right. It is very noticeable that it is only the right tire vibrating. This has casued me to no longer drive my car until I can pin point what is wrong. I thought maybe the front strut mount may be broken. Is there an easy way to tell if I have a broken mount?

    Broken anti-rollbar bracket?

I had similar problem which was caused by a anti-rollbar bracket and bushing which broke off the subframe. That could explain why it happens in turns.

    Happened to me...

My bad strut mounts manifested themselves as infrequent severe shudder at speed. Sounds like that's what you have. Check the control arm connections, tie rods, and wheel bearings as suggested first.
