    Differential Swap

Is it a straight swap to put a 3.91 LSD from a 325/328 automatic into a 94 325is manual trans that currently has a 3.15 non-LSD? By straight swap I mean unbolt the old, bolt in the new.

    TIA

    yup...

So long as it has the same input and output flanges as your current 3.15. Output flanges just pop out. Input flange is held by a big nut. Just want the re-torquing procedure.
While it's out, and you don't know the history of the diff, you might want to put new seaks in.

    Re: yup...

Thanks Steve. Sounds like a knowledgeable person selling a diff would be able to say whether the flanges are the same.
