Pro/Con of FULL racing exhaust system for E46 M3?

I was wondering about the Pros/Cons of a full racing exhaust system for the E46 M3?
I'm talking about real headers, no cats, straight through piping and some sort of aftermarket/racing muffler.

I am not worried about any emission laws.

-Have any of you done this?

    -What kind of HP gains?

-What kind of impact would it have on the computer and what would I have to do to correct it?

Any and all info on this subject would be appreciated.

    It's all good.

Some have shown 20-30 HP gain at the crank. Stock ECU will adjust some, but to get max gain software tuning would help a lot!<br>///MPowerMe

    We race an M3 E46
    1. You need rear cat simulators. Some keep a constant number. There is a set that will vary 2 degrees back and forth to give the computer the info it wants to read....So it does not go into limp mode. E 46 is very different.
The small Borla muffler is great. So you give up 4 HP... Straight exhaust is just annoying.
    Good Luck
