David, the geog is off a bit, lol! It\'s more like +

40 miles SE of Asheville,NC...the mfg'ng facility and Zentrum Museum are located just of I-85 West, jes'west of Spartanburg and jes'west of I-26. Good info site linked below; click to 2nd page for museum/plant tour info. It is interesting tour(s),imo. And, lots of great 2 lane blacktops in the area, esp back up in the NC border counties. If you choose to stay overnight near BMW, there are a couple of motels near the Greenville-Spartanburg airport (GSP).

If you need some more directions or great road trips/drives, drop a dime on my email. BR,md

David Dill: here\'s another link, a very thorough +

X5 info site, put together by Jeff UCrewX5, our RoadFly X5 board...
Hit the link, look in left side Table, go down to Chap 6 entitled BMW Factory, hit that, and it's full of pics and other links. Hope this helps a bit and entices you to make the trip and tour. Worth it,imo.
