While it\'s raining, do you clean your rims?
I don't know why, but so many people I see out here don't. I guess it's because when it's raining, they don't feel like they have to wash their car. Well heck I just waxed mine Sunday! And it looks like rain, but you know what? The car looks fabulous. Just a thought... wax protects your car wheather it's raining or not. Espically where I work, with big trucks driving by all the time kicking up dirt & small rocks all the time...

I prefer washing my car in the rain.
That way I don't have to dry it! I know my neighbors must think I'm really nuts!

Scott, Niether rain nor snow or the dark of
night shall interrupt my care and maintainance of my wheels. I shall make sure that no buildup occurs and they always look their best. I shall do this always and without fail in sickness and in health till toasted main bearings do us part.
Come on work with me!
Viv,
You are not nuts but a enthusiast! After raining the other day I dried my car off as not to get water spots.
I.....I....I think I am losing it...Must wash the car....

Exactly! I posted this once, and
a few people from other states (maybe Arizona & NM) told me they must dry off their cars after a rain or they will get spots on their cars. Acid rain? Junk in the air?

Rain forms around particles of crud in the air
then gets larger and larger until it falls. A few weeks ago when driving in the rain, after I came home I dried the car off and the rain was leaving water marks.
must not obsess......

lol: need to drive my 02s; reluctant to do it in
the rain forecast today and tomorrow. actually, when my cars are wqell waxed, including the wheels, the rain, etc, is easily wiped off and car looks great. BUT, i cant have as much fun in them in the wet, dont trust other operators in the wet, so will probably just expose the grocery getter to the wet( convertible with big leak on pax window- worst car to take out , but best wet tires). decisions, decisions....
... and the one that needs some run time....
... and the grocery getter.....
