NoVa greetings & say hi 2 the guy in the rght lane
Glad to be here on this board but NOT in the area .
Cause now that I have incurred 5 driving ticket since July03 after a drought of 14 years...I'll just mosy along in the slow lane & let you all go by.
If you must ask:
2 speeding
1 reckless
1 illegal lane change
1 HOV
& none of those are what would be considered excessive (>80 mph IMHO) or life endangering.
Now I can really enjoy the coupe...

Illegal lane change?
Ouch, I hate to hear that. My driving record incurred a series of small setbacks last year; I know what it's like to be the guy in the right lane. What happened with the illegal lane change, though? I realize there are times when it's illegal to change lanes, but I can't say I hear about people getting ticketed for it too often....Hope it's not a sore subject :/

No, after you get in this kinda streak, one just
is resigned to the fact that it's a string of bad luck & can't do anything about it.
Kinda like a baseball hitter in bad rut & missing everything he swings for.
Anyhow, the illegal lane change occurred @ Waples Mill & Rt50. Last minute decision to change from right turn only to main thru lanes & police just felt like taking administrative action.
You'll never catch me saying " i hate cops' or that kinda nonsense. But you have to wonder why the bad drivers are getting away w/ things...

Re: NoVa greetings & say hi 2 the guy in the rght lane
well I only have 2 words to offer RADAR DETECTOR these little goodies are illegal in Va. but so is speeding. I use a cobra because I can fling it out the window and not worry about the loss. It does in deed work very well. My situation is quite differant than yours though for I live in the foothills south of Charlottesville where things are much more relaxed and the roads just scream DRIVE ME. Watch the mischief videos and you won't feel so bad.

Re: No, after you get in this kinda streak, one just
My guess is the traffic in the left two lanes was backed up and you sailed down the right turn lane and then cut back into traffic just before the light. If this is what happened you deserve the ticket. I drive in this area I see cars do this all the time. Shame on you.
Now, if I am wrong about your situation then I'm sorry for suggesting it and that it sucks getting these stupid "administrative" tickets. I guess that's a cost of owning a BMW...
