Anyone racing an M10 318i ?
I just received a FREE '85 318i and want to take it road racing.
I currently run an '82 E21 in ITB (2004 NEDiv Enduro Series Champion).
Since both have an M10 motor, is there any advantage to going to the 318i? The 2003 GCR gives the 318i a 60lbs advantage.
Winter is setting in and I have too much time on my hands. Thanks in advance.

Re: Anyone racing an M10 318i ?
A friend ran one in ITB in the MARRS series for a couple of years and he did pretty well. I'd think the e30 has a couple of advantages over the e21: better suspension and more modern (a little anyway) FI. If its lighter too then thats even better. Rust generally isn't a big problem with e30s either, at least in the mid-atlantic. NE may be a different story.
disclaimer: I race an e30 in ITS so I'm biased.
