    Body Shops

    Hello all, I am new to the board and just obtained an 85 635CSi from a family member. The engine is in great shape but the body needs some TLC. I have a quote from a local BMW dealer to paint the whole car for $5000. I don't just want the problem areas fixed I want to do the whole car so it matches. If anyone has any suggestions in the DFW area it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I was going to say Moritz in Arlington but that may be the one you used. If it wasn't then try them. They have decent rates, good people, and good service.

    They are average at best.

    They seem to be OK for minor stuff, but I've seen a complete repaint from them and it was terrible!!!

    They did a very nice job on my coupe. I looked extremely hard at their work before I accepted it and could not see any clues that they'd repainted the area.

    German Technologies (Dan Butts) is the best

    I have no affiliation at all, but just letting you know that this guy is really really good. When I got a small ding on the aluminum hood of my new M3, the authorized BMW paint/body shop called him up to do the job. They told me for special jobs on the higher-end BMWs they call him up. Thats a pretty good endorsement to me. Since then, found out he is well known in the Porsche and BMW communities.
