    Bokke --- 287 was a good suggestion!

Several troopers out there, but the V1 kept me informed and I made it to Santa Fe averaging about 90 mph. Great flow of traffic out in BFE territory, especially once I got onto I-40. The little 2-lane that goes up to Santa Fe just east of Albuquerque cannot be missed. Not another car on the road, flawless weather conditions, straightaways...saw 140 mph and couldn't believe how rock-solid and stable my car was. Very little wind noise, though U2's "Electrical Storm" would have drowned out most of that anyways. Quick trip to Las Vegas and now I'm in SoCal. Happy Holidays to all of you in Texas!

    Glad to hear it

I think going through Lubbock would have slowed you down too much anyway, and the other problem is if you break down - there is really nothing at all on I-20 or US 84. Keep going with 287 and I am glad there weren't that many speedtraps there.

    Beware of...

Parker County (Weatherford) - limit drops to 65 and they frequently radar people. Also be careful around Abilene. Good luck!
