Supercharger recommendations for a 2003 530i?

I have about 4100 miles and want to wait until 10k before making a purchase. NE1 have experience good or bad with a California smog legal supercharger unit?

I've seen him fitting a supercharger to the new BMW 7 for a few customers, sure he could help you out with the new 5-er.

Been happy with my install. One year and 27,000 miles with no issues. Many of their kits will be CARB certified but even if they are not, a CA Smog Cert is not necessary for five years if your car is new.

Here is a link to my site. It is ESS and has 20,000 HARD miles, and drivetrain seems bullet proof. Waiting for ESS software upgrade to account for intercooler effects, in addition to larger fuel injectors. Maybe ESS is the only supplier for 530i's, superchargers that is.

How did you keep your Dinan strut tower brace with the supercharger unit? My installer told me that there was interference with some of the fuel feed components. Your strut brace looks different than mine does though??

Answering first question asked - I also went with ESS based on rediculous cost of Dinan product. I installed after +/- 50,000 miles on a 1999 540iA and have logged maybe 10,000 miles with no issues. Power is awesome, but really maintains daily driver status.
