Re: what was the outcome?
Sean at bimmer sales is a good and fair guy.
If your worried about detail, make sure to ask about everything your worried about.
There were a few dings and delaminations that were not in the description(but to be fair I went over the car with a fine toothed comb and knew everything about e36's before I went in).
But it was nothing that I couldn't fix on my own, so we worked out a price ($10,250 out the door).
I drove it home, had to stay overnight in PA, due to the storm you guys are probably still going through, but got home yesterday and just waiting for some decent weather so I can do some fun driving.
Thanks

random observations....
I know they are affiliated with j&f body shop next door. I got an estimate there, and they seemed more interested in trying to get me to sell my car to them than help me fix it. On the other hand, many years ago, I went buy the repair shop, and the guy came out and helped me remove my radio, no charge! So that is a good memory for your use.

ponq...if you are still checking this
thread, just wanted to see how the car has done. Also wanted to let you know not to worry about Bimmer Sales...lots of dealings with those guys (bought my 530 there)
and I know how they conduct business. If there was someting wrong with the car that they knew about, they would have told you.

Re: Qustion about a Arlington, Va Dealership.
Bimmer sales ltd. has no affiliation with the body shop next door, J&F and bimmer sales as well as bimmer autobody were one entity at one time. In the late 80s the body shop was sold to Nick, the Greek guy. I have had many dealings with the Sales Dept. and have to say that the price may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. All of the cars have up to date service as well as new tires, etc. If you are flying in to purchase to be worried about driving home!!!!!!!!! Just enjoy the drive!!!
