Rear seatbelts.
I own an E3 3.0 si.
Can anyone tell me, is it possible to obtain and fit inertia real rear seat belts.
They must be this type as the purpose is to secure my 15 month old Daughter's child seat.
Would perhaps a later model, such as E23,E12 or E28 be suitable?
I would be very glad to receive your advice.
Kind regards
Jamie.

Re: Rear seatbelts.
Jamie, I'd see if you could adapt e12 parts. Being next in lineage from the e3, it is often the case that e12 parts will easily adapt. Also, you might want to think about fitting an anchor on the parcel shelf to connect the rear strap from the infant seat, for a nice secure fit.
Cheers,
Tony

Re: Rear seatbelts.
Tony and Dave thankyou very much for your replies.
Dave,
is this an actual installation you have done yourself to your own E3 (is yours the same year as mine) and if so were any modifications required?
I am willing to fit them myself, unless welding of plates etc. are required, in which case it is beyond me!
Kind regards.
Jamie.

Re: Rear seatbelts.
Congrats on the Jag belts.
For the information of this thread, the E3 has factory rear shoulder belt mounts for the shoulder pulley. If you gently reach up under the headliner you will find a plastc phillips head screw plug. Remove it and you will have a secure 17mm bolting point for the shoulder pulley.
E3's were stock with rear shoulder belts from the begining in Sweden. That is why the body is set up for them and plugged off.
Up until a few years ago, you could order the factory "REPO" rear shoulder belts for these cars. The other brand name of belts commonly used in the early Bav's has escaped me; but they were also available in a rear shoulder harness at one time.
I have them in my E3. (Ordered them in early 90's) My father ordered them as an option in his '73 E3 when he purchased it new. (He still has the car - Garage kept, uses it about twice a year for highway travel. $80,000 miles and looks like new inside & out. Not for sale)
