Re: Wheel repair in Sacramento?
IMHO there are two options depending on your budget and quality needs. The cheapest and easiest method is to contact and company like Colrs On Parade that have mobile vans that can come to you or any local dealer (you will see them in the back lots of Niello, Van Houson, Sac Jaguar, etc.) and they can do repairs on the car. They simply use a Dremel or similar tool to smooth out the area, mask the tire, and srapy the color then clear coat on the wheel. Depending on the extent of the damage, this can look pretty good. A more perfectionist way of doing it is to have the wheel remove from the vehicle, have the tire dismounted, and have a professional wheel refinisher such as Weidman Wheels (they are located up north a bit but have a weekly pickup and delivery to Sacramento) refinish the wheel. The downside to this method is the extra added cost and the time without your wheel. Hope this helps.

My problem is....
..my wife actually took a good chunk out of the lip with a hard curb scrape; it will take more than a once over with a dremel. Need to have some metal built up back on the lip. Sending the wheel out is no problem as they are my summer tires and are just sitting in the shed right now.

Try Precision Wheel on Fulton & Cottage.
I had a chat w/one of the guys there who said they do wheel repair work. He's related to a good friend, so I assume he wasn't giving me any BS.

Everything keeps going round and round ;-)
BTW, how did your daughter do in college this last year? Didn't she go away to school?

Well, on the downside...
She got the first "B" in her life. I tried to explain going in that it was bound to happen, but she still took it pretty hard. Other than that she appears to be doing well. With all of her HS advanced placement, she is 2 quaters away form junior status. In August our summer roadtrip will be to visit my brother in Colorado and take a tour of CSU in Ft. Collins. Apparently it has a very highly rated vet school and she wants to have a look see.
Other than that, life goes on...!

I know exactly how that goes!
That happened to our son, too. He wasn't happy either.

Well, since you asked.........
8/6 Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys - tour, tastings & lunch $35 each
9/17 St. George Hotel in Volcano - drive and lunch
9/30 Sausalito Floating Home Tour - drive and tour $30 each donation
This will be our 3rd annual drive to Volcano. It's a very popular event, with a nice drive and lunch isn't very expensive. Our group takes up the parlor in this old hotel. We are limited to 40 participants this year.
There are some other things going on, but these are my events. Let me know if you're interested and I will keep you posted via email.

Wow, you're a celeb now!
I'm sorry I missed them. We're out-of-state at the moment.
