What is this all about? I would like to stress thet despite everything the U.S. and Europe are still on the same side. It would be nice if we could keep on working togehther instead of just yelling.
My fellow Europeans should have a closer loo on what is actually going on in the U.S. and Europe instead of just coming up with prejudices against something they probably know only from TV and films.
And, dear Americans, Europe is a little bit more complicated and complex than just nazi, Stalin, war.

You may be right in some points here but there is one thing which is utterly irritating me, i.e. the constant parallels that are drawn by you between events which led to WWII in Europe and a totally different conflict in a totally different region. No doubt Chamberlain made a fatal mistake with his appeasement politics. But that is ecause we know that Hitler-Germany was an acute danger to peace. Saddam, how terrible his regime might have been, was not. Up to now still no proof has been found of Bush's famous weapons of mass destruction. This is why you never hear him saying those four words.
I do believe that "Your average European" is quite well informed. Probably much better than a lot of other people here. He/she definitely does speak several languages (how many of YOU do?) and even sees behind things.

Wow, you must like having high taxes. By the way, your are very wrong about there just being 1 percent of rich people in the U.S.
Try in the means on 1/4 of the population that makes more then 250,000 a year. And there is more poverty in europe ( with taxes at a near 80 percent) then in America with taxes around 30 percent.
I have to laugh at europeans , who think everyone should be equal but yet thier government has mansions while thier people are in houses built 100 years ago and more. Our government is quit weak vs other nations and unlike the europeans we dont have to have the government make our decisions. I also dont feel like waiting hours at the doctors like the europeans, in the USA I wait only the most of 15 mins. And insurance is just as good as free medicare that cost barely anything for basic programs. And as for the one that stating why americans are lazy and fat and stupid, wow, Are you telling me that a lazy and fat and stupid nation came and liberate europeans b/c they are so smart and intelligent, but yet they couldnt even fight wars on thier own? The only true stupid one is the one calling americans stupid. Only 5 percent of the american public doesnt work ( vs over half of europeans ) that get money from the government.

And another thing to mention, When terrorist behead americans theres hardly no reaction from european public, when we put them in a bases the rest of the world accuses us of abuse, where talking like damp rages over faces and clothes toekn off here), vs our people being beheaded? Man Europe you have been dumbing down by your media ( european media partly controled by thier governments).

Europeans and the rest of the World have always been jealous of life style and golden opportunities in America and even in worst times when America MAY need the help of the rest of the World, they are so resentful that they would not lend a hand. However, throughout history it has been this country that has reached out and saved the sorry [Oops!] EUROPEAN countries from their own misbehaving and war hungry situations and amsacaring each other. Even in current times France and Germany refused to do anything about Cosovo in their own back yard. It was NATO with the American leadership that came to the rescue of those people.

It's interesting that now the same European countries refuse to fight terrorism and even go out of their way to cooperate with terrorists in order to avoid becoming a victim. However, it is no surprise that these countries have shown the same behavior throughout history, which is selfish and short sightedness.

We can no longer think locally and Europe needs get in the habit of thinking globally. Your piss ant size countries do not have the power of saving your sorry asses and you need to face the facts that we need each other, if we are going to overcome this issue of terrorism.
